Speaking Heads have gathered a few of their early rarities on a brand new compilation album for Report Retailer Day’s 2025 Black Friday occasion. Tentative Selections options demos of songs that might later seem on the band’s first two albums—1777’s Speaking Heads: 77 and 1978’s Extra Songs About Buildings and Meals—alongside a dwell recording of “Artists Solely” from the Decrease Manhattan Ocean Membership and variations of “Psycho Killer” and “Warning Signal” credited to David Byrne and Chris Frantz’s first band, the Artistics.
