Grace Ives is again with a brand new album and tour. The Brooklyn singer-songwriter and producer will launch Girlfriend on March 20 through True Panther/Capitol. Written and produced alongside Ariel Rechtshaid and John DeBold, with mixing by Dave Fridmann, Girlfriend follows 2022’s Janky Star and the trio of singles Ives launched final November. Ives says of the album in a press launch, “I shifted from escaping to exploring. Having some private freedom made me understand that I’m allowed to take up area—to be social, to speak about how I really feel, to strive new issues. This album is about giving myself room to fail, to experiment, and to change into extra sincere within the music.”
