Gel Break Up, Citing Guitarist Anthony Webster’s Alleged Misconduct

New Jersey hardcore band Gel are breaking apart. Following guitarist Anthony Webster’s absence at a number of exhibits the previous few months, the remaining members of Gel have posted a press release on social media saying they’re “not a band.” Gel go on to quote quite a few “heinous” actions that Webster allegedly took which have harmed the band and that they discovered reprehensible. When reached by Pitchfork, a consultant for Gel had no additional remark to share.

As acknowledged of their put up, Gel will not be acting at any of their beforehand scheduled live shows. That features upcoming excursions opening for Spiritbox, Volbeat, and Anxious, in addition to their units at each weekends of Coachella subsequent month.
